Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Honza Kucera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruud Gullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Honza Kucera! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruud Gullit! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kucera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kucera showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gullit.
Kucera uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gullit. Kucera attempts a counter takedown but Gullit avoids it well and moves away. Gullit throws a series of punches but Kucera avoids them all with ease. Kucera appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kucera slips a jab and a cross from Gullit.
Gullit throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kucera sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kucera moves out of range of the strikes. Kucera closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gullit's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kucera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gullit swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Kucera's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. My spies in HK13 LA inform me that Gullit has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Gullit is looking to sweep but instead, Kucera has passed into half guard.

He's hooked one of Kucera's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kucera's back!

Let's hope that Gullit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Honza Kucera clearly takes that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gullit will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Kucera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gullit won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kucera working away.
