Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harris Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson goes for a double leg but Cerrone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cerrone continues to drive forward.
Cerrone with the counter takedown but Watson avoids it easily.
Cerrone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Watson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cerrone circles away.
Cerrone tries to clinch there but Watson circles away.
Cerrone tries to clinch but Watson is having none of it.
Watson attempts a counter takedown but Cerrone avoids it well and moves away.
Watson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cerrone tries to clinch up.
Watson leaves Cerrone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Watson shoots in but Cerrone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harris Watson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Watson.
Watson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Watson closes the distance and pushes Cerrone back into the cage.

Watson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cerrone uses from the top position.

Cerrone wants to control from the top but Watson keeps moving.
Cerrone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Watson moves out of range of the body kick.

Watson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cerrone can't get the takedown.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Watson.


It looks like Michal Cerrone has been cut.
Cerrone is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Watson jumps guard and drags Cerrone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cerrone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Watson has Cerrone pulled in close to control his posture.
Watson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Watson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cerrone pushes Watson off looking to stand but Watson dives back in and keeps control.

Watson is working for a kimura but Cerrone is defending it quite comfortably.
Watson moves into full mount! Cerrone won't be happy about that!

Watson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Watson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cerrone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Watson controlling the pace for now.

Cerrone has left one of his arms exposed and Watson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Cerrone screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
