PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Alvisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bone Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvisi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Live Wire. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Alvisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bone Crash!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Crash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alvisi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Crash sprawls and moves away.
Alvisi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crash circles away.
Crash lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Crash.
Crash turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Crash scores with a push kick.
A head kick misses from Crash.
Crash throws a lazy uppercut

and Alvisi counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Crash is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Crash is trying to get back to full guard.

Alvisi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Crash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alvisi.

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Alvisi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Crash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crash rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alvisi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Crash throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Crash lands with an uppercut that bounces Alvisi off the cage and back into range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alvisi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Crash has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Crash feints and then cracks Alvisi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alvisi down.
Alvisi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Bone Crash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alvisi.
Alvisi feinted with a counter takedown.

and Alvisi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crash won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alvisi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crash is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Alvisi wants to sweep here but Crash controlling him for the moment.

Alvisi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crash defends it easily.

Alvisi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Crash is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alvisi.

Bone Crash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Alvisi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alvisi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crash defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alvisi keeps working.
Crash tries to advance to mount but Alvisi denies him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Alvisi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Alvisi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Crash has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alvisi is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
