Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Meira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobikan Judan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Meira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Tobikan Judan! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meira fails to land the takedown. Judan was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Judan shoots in looking for a takedown. Meira tries to sprawl out of it but Judan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Meira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Meira looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Judan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Meira is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meira has his foot on Judan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Judan works his way back into a safe position though. Judan wants to control from the top but Meira keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Meira keeping full guard, as Judan tries to pass.

Judan trying to control but Meira is working from the bottom. Judan won't allow Meira to sweep him here. Meira is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Judan defends well. Meira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Judan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Judan postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Meira looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Judan trying to control but Meira is working from the bottom. Meira striking off his back. Judan stays in close to Meira's body and controls the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Meira is on top in guard.

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Judan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Meira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Judan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Meira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Judan sprawls well. Judan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Meira gets slowly back to his feet. Meira leaves Judan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Judan shoots in looking for a takedown. Meira tries to sprawl out of it but Judan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Meira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carlos Meira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobikan Judan. Judan goes for a double leg but Meira avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Meira continues to drive forward. Meira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Judan circles away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meira darts in looking for a takedown but Judan gets double underhooks and turns Meira into the cage. Judan feints a counter leg kick. Meira fails to land the takedown. And Judan responds with a good body kick, but Meira manages to step out the way in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Judan tries to keep at a distance but Meira has taken the fight into the clinch. Meira connects with a knee to the head.

Meira is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Judan can do to turn this around? Judan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Judan keeping moving, preventing Meira from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Judan is on top in guard.
Judan passes Meira's left leg - he's now in half guard. Judan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Meira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Judan is working away from the top position though. Meira is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Judan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Judan's back! Meira is hanging on to Judan's back as he tries to escape.
Meira is punishing Judan with some ground and pound. Judan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Meira.
Meira has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Judan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Carlos Meira overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Judan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Meira gets his way!
Meira tries to get the hooks in deep but Judan pushed the leg off. Meira is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Judan wants to escape the position.
Judan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Judan preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Meira. Meira avoiding Judan 's attempts to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Judan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Carlos Meira dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Meira or perhaps it was just good defense by Judan, which made it look bad. Judan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Meira dives in and grabs Judan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Judan pushes down on Meira's head and hops out. Meira moves into the clinch. Meira with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. I was talking to Meira's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Meira lands a knee to the head.
Judan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Meira smiles and moves away.
Judan gets caught flat footed, as Meira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Meira takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Meira blocks the strikes from Judan.
Judan is not content to let Meira control the position. Meira wants to pass to mount but Judan is defending the position. Meira trying to control the action but Judan is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Meira closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Meira lands in his opponent's guard. Meira trying to control but Judan is working from the bottom. Meira won't allow Judan to sweep him here. Meira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Judan's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Judan wants to control but Meira is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Judan is refusing to be controlled, as Meira sits in half guard. Meira working Judan over with strikes. Meira is controlling the pace.
Judan tries to get to full guard but Meira has control of the leg. Tobikan Judan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carlos Meira is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meira keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Carlos Meira showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Meira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
