Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Hampton!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hampton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Madsen tries to avoid it but Hampton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Madsen to the ground. Madsen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Madsen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hampton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hampton can't break the clinch.

Hampton manages to pull guard.
Madsen postures up in Hampton's guard and throws a big left but Hampton blocks it.

Madsen wants to control from the top but Hampton keeps moving.

Hampton is working an open guard so Madsen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hampton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Madsen.

It looks like Ivan Hampton has been cut.

Hampton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Madsen wants to get back to his feet but Hampton is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hampton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Madsen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hampton gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Madsen counters with a three punch combo that has Hampton backing up. Hampton nods at Madsen to acknowledge the strikes.

and Madsen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Madsen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Madsen shoots in and bounces Hampton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Madsen chips away with some ground and pound.
Madsen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
