Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Whoopass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Joe!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Whoopass is looking to reverse the position.
Whoopass is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Joe has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Whoopass tries to bench press Joe off him but Joe keeps the position.
Whoopass manages to work his way to half guard, despite Joe's best efforts.
Joe prevents Whoopass from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe wants to advance to full mount but Whoopass doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Whoopass looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Joe looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Joe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Joe trying to control the position from guard on top but Whoopass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Whoopass pulls Joe in to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck for Joe with that takedown attempt.
Whoopass misses with a combination
and Joe counters with a one-two to the body.
Joe shoots in and drives through. Whoopass sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Joe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Whoopass manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Whoopass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Whoopass avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Whoopass backs away from a small jab... but Joe lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Whoopass crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Joe with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Little Joe!
