Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brick House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brick House!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez is looking to clinch but House is avoiding it.
Alvarez avoids the body shot from House.
House showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Alvarez.
A little feinted left hand from House on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Alvarez closes the distance and clinches.

Alvarez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alvarez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. House manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alvarez blocks a low kick nicely.
House throws a right hand that misses
and Alvarez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Alvarez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
House fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
House throws a solid leg kick but Alvarez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at House.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Alvarez.
House is looking to counter with a body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Alvarez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables House to keep the fight standing.

Brick House has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Alvarez.

House breaks the clinch.
House rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alvarez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alvarez dives in for a single leg takedown but House sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
House swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Alvarez moves into range and clinches up with House.

Alvarez pulls guard successfully.
Alvarez pulls House in close to his closed guard and prevents House from doing any damage or advancing position.
Alvarez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

House is looking to escape.
Alvarez uses his free foot to push down on House's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for House.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
House is working to get back to half guard.

House on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if House tries to get out of the position.
House trying desperately to get to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
House keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

House misses with a two punch combination.

Alvarez rushes House and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
House can't break the clinch.

Alvarez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
House throws a right hand that Alvarez ducks under and follows up with a left that Alvarez also avoids with ease.

and House cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
House looks to land a combination but Alvarez avoids it well.
House tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarez was well out of range. Poor timing from House.

Alvarez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Alvarez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
House is trying to improve his position.
Alvarez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down House's shoulder. That is not cool.

Let's hope that Alvarez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Alvarez.
Alvarez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from House. No joy for Alvarez on that attempt.

Nick Alvarez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A little jabbing left from Alvarez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Alvarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
House is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alvarez has just dragged him back down to the mat.
House wants to control but Alvarez postures up.
Alvarez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Alvarez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed House's head.

Nick Alvarez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Alvarez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
