Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Winston Buckley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jered Havener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Winston Buckley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jered Havener!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Havener forces Buckley back against the cage and clinches.

Buckley gets control of Havener's arms and successfully pulls guard. Buckley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Buckley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Buckley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Havener trying to control the position from guard on top but Buckley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Buckley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Havener wants to control from the top but Buckley keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buckley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Buckley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Buckley manages to end up in side control.

Buckley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Havener rushes Buckley and presses him up against the cage.
Buckley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Havener just stands there and leans against the cage.
Havener tries to throw a body punch but Buckley avoids it by throwing Havener back against the cage.

Havener pulls guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Havener looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Buckley is in close to Havener's body, working some short punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Buckley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Buckley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Havener as he avoids it easily.

Havener fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buckley sprawls well initially but Havener persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Buckley is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Havener is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buckley defends it well.
Havener throwing shots but Buckley is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Havener is stalling here. Buckley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Havener seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Buckley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Buckley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Havener fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Buckley has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Buckley shoots in and gets a takedown into Havener's guard.
Havener throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Havener wants to control the position but Buckley says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Buckley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Havener is just riding it out for now. Buckley eventually gives up the hold.
Havener is looking to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Havener shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Havener wants to control from the top but Buckley keeps moving.

Buckley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Havener presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Buckley breaks the clinch.
Buckley tries a head kick but it misses.

Buckley tries to keep at a distance but Havener has taken the fight into the clinch.

Havener gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Havener thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Buckley's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Buckley won't allow Havener to pass to mount.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Winston Buckley will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Buckley shoots in for a takedown but Havener shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Winston Buckley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Havener stands and steps away. Buckley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Havener wriggles free and stands up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Buckley or perhaps it was just good defense by Havener, which made it look bad.

Havener clinches.
Buckley is trying to pull guard but Havener turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winston Buckley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Buckley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Havener displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buckley.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Havener closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Buckley prevents Havener from improving position.
Buckley sneaks back into half guard.
Buckley wants to control but Havener is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Havener is trying for a kimura here. Buckley looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Havener wins by kimura!
