Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Euphegen Doubdtfire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Basilone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Basilone told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Euphegen Doubdtfire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Basilone!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basilone slips a jab from Doubdtfire.
Doubdtfire wants to slow Basilone down by chopping away at his legs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Doubdtfire, as that shot connected.
Doubdtfire misses with a hook.
Basilone has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Doubdtfire throws a body punch but Basilone moves out of range.
Basilone is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
No joy there for Basilone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Doubdtfire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Basilone manages to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Doubdtfire 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Basilone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Basilone drives through with a takedown into Doubdtfire's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's time! Doubdtfire's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Basilone tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doubdtfire defends well and Basilone ends up having to push Doubdtfire into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Doubdtfire seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Oh but Doubdtfire is tightening it up a little... Basilone has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Basilone reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Basilone taps out! Nice BJJ there by Doubdtfire!
