Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Quincy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Badger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Badger is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Quincy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Badger!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Quincy.
Quincy lands a jab to the nose.
Badger tries to close the distance and clinch but Quincy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Quincy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Badger throws a right hand that Quincy ducks under and follows up with a left that Quincy also avoids with ease.
Badger blocks a head kick by Quincy.
Badger drops his hands momentarily and Quincy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Badger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Quincy.
Badger closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Quincy lands with a straight right. Badger didn't see that one coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quincy jabs at Badger's body.
Badger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Quincy defends well and Badger ends up having to push Quincy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Quincy is looking to counter punch.
Quincy lands with an overhand left.
Badger's coach down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Badger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Quincy moves out of range of the strikes.
Quincy throws a body punch but Badger moves out of range.
Badger is looking to clinch.
Quincy feinted with a counter takedown.
Quincy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Badgers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Quincy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Badger tries to clinch there but Quincy circles away.
Quincy dodges the punch combination from Badger.
Quincy cracks Badger with a good jab.
Quincy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nice uppercut lands for Quincy. That snapped Badger's head back.
Quincy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Badger slips a straight right by Quincy.
Badger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Badger throws a right hand that Quincy ducks under and follows up with a left that Quincy also avoids with ease.
Quincy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Badger has managed to clinch.
Quincy pushes Badger back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Quincy manages to break the clinch.
Quincy throws the kick towards the body but Badger avoids it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Badger tries to clinch there but Quincy circles away.

Badger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Quincy as he jumps to the side.

Badger wants to clinch up but Quincy keeps it at a distance.
Quincy throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Quincy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Quincy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Quincy getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Badger fails with the takedown.
Badger looks winded!
Quincy lands a jab to the nose.
Quincy looks to land a left hand but Badger moved out of range nicely.
Badger swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Quincy.
Quincy is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Badger tries to clinch but Quincy is having none of it.

Badger wants to clinch.
A punch combination from Quincy misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Quincy swinging wildly here.
Badger needs to keep his hands up - Quincy had a free shot at his head there.
Badger misses with a looping left.

Badger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Quincy was covering up waiting for the punch and Badger finishes the takedown easily into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quincy is on top in guard.

Badger wants to stand up but Quincy is controlling him.
Quincy advances to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Badger wants to get back to his feet.
Badger is in trouble now - Quincy has advanced to mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quincy content just to control the position here.
Quincy continues to stall.
Badger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quincy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Quincy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Badger is surviving well by controlling Quincy's body position as best he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jack Badger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Quincy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Quincy looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Quincy throws a hook but Badger avoids it easily.
Quincy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Quincy keeps the fight on the outside.
Quincy throws a hook but Badger blocks it.

Badger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quincy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Badger circles away quickly and effectively.
Quincy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Badger can do to turn this around?
Badger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Quincy seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Badger scores with a one two! Quincy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Quincy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Quincy feints and then cracks Badger's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Badger down.
Quincy throws a sloppy head kick and Badger moves out of range easily.
Badger takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Quincy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Badger. That did some damage!

Badger is trying to drag Quincy to the mat but Quincy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Badger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Quincy lands with a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Quincy is stalking Badger. Badger circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Quincy, and it's lights out! Badger really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
