Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kid Diddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bilkington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bilkington is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Head Bussa. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Diddler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Bilkington! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bilkington fails with the takedown and Diddler counters with a nice body shot. Bilkington wants to clinch up but Diddler keeps it at a distance. Diddler half committed to a counter leg kick. Bilkington has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Diddler is landing a low percentage of strikes. Diddler leaves Bilkington with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Diddler gets a clinch. Diddler breaks the clinch.
Bilkington tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Diddler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Diddler wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Bilkington dives in for a single leg takedown but Diddler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kid Diddler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Bilkington. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bilkington tries to clinch but Diddler moves out of range. Bilkington darts in looking for a takedown but Diddler gets double underhooks and turns Bilkington into the cage. Bilkington goes for a double leg but Diddler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diddler continues to drive forward. A quick step to the side and Diddler tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bilkington shoots for a double leg takedown but Diddler sprawls well. He's pushed Bilkington's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Diddler tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bilkington manages to circle out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diddler lands with a kick to the temple. Bilkington shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Diddler scores with a three punch combo!
Bilkington fails to land the takedown. Diddler moves out of range of the strikes. Bilkington fails to land the takedown. Diddler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bilkington fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bilkington takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Diddler moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Bobby Bilkington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bilkington walks into a stiff left hand from Diddler. Bilkington goes for a double leg but Diddler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diddler continues to drive forward. Bilkington gets a double leg takedown into Diddler's guard. Bilkington with a flurry of punches that miss. Bilkington pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diddler is keeping the position for now. Diddler keeping moving, preventing Bilkington from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diddler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Diddler is breathing heavily. Diddler wants to sweep here but Bilkington controlling him for the moment. Bilkington throws a big right hand that misses. Bilkington stops Diddler from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bilkington wants to control from the top but Diddler keeps moving. Diddler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Diddler working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Diddler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Diddler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Diddler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The strikes coming from Diddler are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Diddler throws a strike aimed at the side of Bilkington's head but Bilkington avoids it well. Bilkington wants to get back to his feet but Diddler drags him back down. Diddler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diddler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kid Diddler dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bilkington misses with a wild body shot. Diddler is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Bilkington fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diddler avoids it really well and circles away. Bilkington moves into the clinch successfully.

Bilkington wants to control from the top but Diddler keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bilkington is looking to work some ground and pound but Diddler has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diddler wants to sweep here but Bilkington controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diddler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bilkington is positioning himself well to prevent Diddler advancing to mount. Diddler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bilkington doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diddler. Bilkington is holding on to half guard well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bilkington keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bilkington blocking the ground and pound attempt from Diddler. Diddler tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bilkington knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diddler is looking for a kimura but Bilkington is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diddler to get the leverage. Diddler trying to control from half guard but Bilkington is working away. Diddler is thwarting Bilkington's attempts to control the position. Bilkington wants to get back to his feet.
Diddler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bilkington tries to get to full guard but Diddler has control of the leg. Diddler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Diddler slips a nice elbow through Bilkington's hands, connecting with Bilkington's forehead. Bilkington has a hand on Diddler's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Diddler takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Diddler is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bilkington can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
BOOM! Diddler connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Diddler goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bilkington is on top in guard.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bilkington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bilkington wants to control from the top but Diddler keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bilkington showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bilkington throwing strikes from guard but Diddler blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diddler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bilkington not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diddler's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diddler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bilkington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diddler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bilkington looking for a sweep. Not yet Bilkington, not yet. Diddler lands a couple of elbows. Diddler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bilkington can do to turn this around? Diddler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bilkington works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Diddler pushes Bilkington up against the cage in a clinch. Bilkington is trying to trip Diddler. He has hold of a leg but Diddler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bilkington persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kid Diddler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bilkington postures up in Diddler's guard and throws a big left but Diddler blocks it. Bilkington is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bilkington looking to sit in guard and control but Diddler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bilkington is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bilkington looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Diddler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bilkington controls Diddler momentarily but Diddler frees himself. Diddler wants to pass the guard but Bilkington is keeping the position. Diddler passes Bilkington's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Diddler is trying to control the action in half guard but Bilkington is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Kid Diddler showed his dominance in that final round. Well Diddler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
