Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Senior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Senior is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Junior Senior! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Senior cracks King with an open hand slap. King steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Senior. That one must have hurt. Senior works over King's head and body with a nice combination. King uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Senior misses with a few strikes there.
Senior circles away from the clinch attempt.
Senior throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. King gets a clinch. Senior should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Senior has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment. A bit of stalling here from King.
King is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Senior is keeping busy. King has had enough of the clinch but Senior keeps him there for the moment. Senior wants to break the clinch but can't.
King changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Senior fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Senior misses with a wild combination.
King wants to clinch up but Senior keeps it at a distance. Senior's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Senior duly obliges.

King throws a head kick but Senior moves out of range.

King is breathing heavily. Senior throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease. King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. King is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Senior.
King is rocked!
It looks like Doug King has been cut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Senior.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Senior tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault. King throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. King thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Senior if he has to take too many more of those.
King seems to have got his legs back now. Some wild striking there from Senior.
King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! King trying to control the action but Senior is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King landing a few strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is chipping away with strikes.
Senior is not content to let King control the position. King lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Senior down.
King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Senior looking for a sweep but King has passed into full mount! Oh no! King tries to control but Senior wriggling away. King lands with some strikes. King lands a big shot there that rocks Senior but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Senior is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. King trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Senior really doesn't like being in this position too much.
King cracks Senior with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
King wants to finish this one by submission but Senior is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from King. Senior's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Senior is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Senior is trying to escape the mount.
King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
King won't let Senior get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Senior bucks King off and manages to get back to his feet! King is looking to clinch. Senior misses with a kick to the body and King counters with a head kick. That will keep Senior thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Senior throws a body kick, spinning off balance and King counters with a head kick. That will keep Senior thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Senior's hands. King ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by King!

and King finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Senior attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. King fails in his attempt to clinch. Senior throws out a loose jab but King uses good head movement to avoid it. Junior Senior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. King moves in looking to clinch but Senior pushes him off. King tries to clinch up. Senior takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. King lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. King moves in looking to clinch but Senior pushes him off. Senior looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. King avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug King dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!

and King counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by King. Senior wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. King using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

A swing and a miss from King. A slapping body kick lands there for King. Doug King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Senior counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Senior to acknowledge the strikes. King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Senior misses with a double jab
and King counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. King wants to break free but Senior has control.
Senior breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. King jabbing away but nothing is landing. King fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doug King is winning the standup battle so far. Senior looks to land a combination. King sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. King tries to work over Senior's front leg with a kick but Senior checks it. Senior throws and low kick but King moves out of range easily. King walks into a stiff left hand from Senior. Jab, jab by Senior - just one landing. King doesn't manage to clinch there - Senior circles away.
Senior throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely. Senior gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Senior wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but King has him pressed against the cage. King misses with a punch to the body.
Senior manages to break the clinch.
Senior lands with a straight right. King didn't see that one coming. King wants to clinch but Senior slips to the side and Senior counters with a one-two to the body. Senior drops King with a straight left! Oh this is bad for King! Senior dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Senior!
