Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kickin Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kids Of The K-Hole. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kickin Rad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Thomas! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A nice leg kick lands there from Rad. An inside leg kick lands from Rad. Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jab, jab by Rad - just one landing. Rad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rad throws the kick towards the body but Thomas avoids it. Thomas throws the kick towards the body but Rad avoids it. Rad misses with a hook. A jab from Thomas misses. Thomas lands a jab to the head.
Rad thows a left - swing and a miss! No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

And Rad counters with a quick kick to the body but Thomas blocks it. Thomas blocks the body kick.

Rad tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Thomas lands with an uppercut that bounces Rad off the cage and back into range. Rad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Thomas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Thomas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rad gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Thomas throws a right hand that Rad ducks under and follows up with a left that Rad also avoids with ease. This has been an exciting period of action! Rad dodges the punch combination from Thomas.

Thomas lands a head kick. Rad smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Thomas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rad circles away quickly and effectively. Rad connects with a looping right hand.
A punch combination from Thomas misses. A combination from Thomas does no damage. An attempted straight right counter from Rad misses the target. Rad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Thomas drops his hands momentarily and Rad takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rad delivers a nice body kick. Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Rad bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Thomas misses with a wild combination.
Thomas's coach down at Abobomination Training $700 13 LEGIT elite coaches was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thomas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad looks to throw the jab but Thomas is out of range. Rad closes the distance and clinches. A short right from Rad. A head punch blocked on the inside by Thomas. Thomas takes an elbow to the forehead. Thomas blocks the elbow strike.
Thomas is trying to break the clinch but Rad has him pressed against the cage. Rad with a knee to the head.
Thomas lands a hook to the side of the head. Thomas misses with a punch on the inside.
Rad keeps control of Thomas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rad throws an elbow but it misses.
Rad tries for a takedown but Thomas manages to get underhooks.
Rad throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Thomas blocks it with crossed arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knees to the body from Rad.
Thomas looks winded! Thomas blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rad lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thomas pushes Rad back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Rad tries a body shot but Thomas blocks it.
Rad looks to throw an elbow but misses. Rad creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thomas's defenses. Thomas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rad scores with a head kick. Thomas tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. A decent looking cross lands there for Thomas. Clay Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rad lets loose with a powerful body kick. Thomas will feel that in the morning. Rad throws the left hand but Thomas avoids the punch easily. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rad throws a body kick that misses. Thomas moves out of range as Rad throws a body kick.

Kickin Rad dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rad shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Rad keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thomas is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Thomas leaves Rad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Thomas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Thomas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Clay Thomas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rad tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Thomas manages to circle out of the way. Rad tries for a takedown but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Rad is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thomas misses with the combination.

Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rad manages to avoid it. Rad tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Thomas manages to circle out of the way. and Rad counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rad scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Thomas is looking for a sweep. Rad is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Thomas won't allow Rad to pass to mount. Thomas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Thomas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Thomas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rad looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Thomas throws a series of punches but Rad avoids them all with ease. Thomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rad avoids the head kick by Thomas.

Rad is looking to take a break and control but Thomas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kickin Rad has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rad is chipping away with strikes.
Rad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rad is trying to ground and pound but Thomas uses the momentary lack of control by Rad to regain half guard. Thomas wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Thomas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rad throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Thomas to regain full guard. Thomas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rad keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thomas's head. Rad in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rad looking to pass the guard. Rad wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rad throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rad goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Rad throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Rad fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thomas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Thomas checks a low kick from Rad. Thomas is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Thomas connects with a solid leg kick. Thomas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rad. A big right from Thomas misses. Thomas slips a jab from Rad. As Rad backs off Thomas throws a huge counter combo but Rad manages to avoid it all. Rad thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thomas if he has to take too many more of those.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kickin Rad. I think Rad has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
