O Malley's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4. Stipe Nogueira has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Carter O Malley's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira with a poor takedown
and O Malley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nogueira won't be happy with that.
O Malley taking a breather here.
Nogueira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but O Malley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O Malley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Nogueira manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nogueira tries to get to full guard but O Malley has control of the leg.
O Malley escapes and gets back to his feet.

Nogueira pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces O Malley back to the cage. Nogueira follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nogueira tries to clinch but fails miserably
and O Malley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nogueira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as O Malley controls the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nogueira wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
O Malley throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nogueira counters with a three punch combo that has O Malley backing up. O Malley nods at Nogueira to acknowledge the strikes.
O Malley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nogueira.

O Malley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nogueira presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Nogueira jumps guard but O Malley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Nogueira is breathing heavily.

O Malley is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nogueira can't fight it off and eventually O Malley manages to take the fight to the floor. Nogueira looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
O Malley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nogueira. That did some damage!
