Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus DeSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeMarcus DeSilva is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeMarcus DeSilva! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeSilva darts in looking for a takedown but Shamrock gets double underhooks and turns DeSilva into the cage. DeSilva slips a straight right by Shamrock. DeSilva throws a hook but Shamrock blocks it. Shamrock unleashes a big counter combination but DeSilva bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. DeSilva misses the shot to the body. Shamrock throws out a counter right but DeSilva avoids it with no problem. Shamrock misses with an uppercut
and DeSilva counters with a low kick, right behind Shamrock 's knee. DeSilva throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shamrock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but DeSilva moves away. DeSilva throws a lazy right hand but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. DeSilva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shamrock sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shamrock wants to counter with a clinch but DeSilva pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. DeSilva drops his hands momentarily and Shamrock takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. DeSilva pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shamrock is out of range and DeSilva settles back down. DeSilva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Shamrock scores with a nice strike. DeSilva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. DeSilva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamrock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Shamrock wants to get back to his feet. DeSilva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shamrock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock is trying to buck DeSilva off. DeSilva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shamrock, who protects the arm well. DeSilva sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shamrock is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shamrock bucks up and tries to throw DeSilva off but instead DeSilva has got his back! Shamrock is trying to get back to his feet but DeSilva has full control of the position and if anything, Shamrock has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Shamrock wants to get back to his feet. Shamrock is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. DeSilva looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Shamrock is controlling DeSilva 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. Shamrock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shamrock decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on DeSilva, up you get! DeSilva connects with a leg kick. Shamrock looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. DeSilva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Shamrock loads up on a big right hand but DeSilva slips the punch. Shamrock works the jab nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shamrock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from DeSilva. Shamrock throws a body shot but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DeMarcus DeSilva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
DeSilva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shamrock paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shamrock is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Shamrock blocks a head kick by DeSilva.

and DeSilva counters with an inside leg kick. DeSilva ducks under a wild hook from Shamrock. DeMarcus DeSilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamrock misses with a straight right. A low kick from DeSilva misses and Shamrock counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shamrock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and DeSilva counters with a leg kick. DeSilva shoots in for a takedown but Shamrock shows good takedown defense. Shamrock wants to counter the offense by DeSilva and move into the clinch position. DeSilva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamrock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract DeSilva. DeSilva is looking to counter punch. DeSilva fails with a takedown attempt. DeSilva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like DeMarcus DeSilva has been cut. DeSilva misses with a hook
and Shamrock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeSilva throws a jab when Shamrock was well out of range. Good leg kick by DeSilva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
DeSilva misses with a low kick.
Shamrock looks like he wants to counter punch here. Shamrock misses with a wild combination.
DeSilva feinted with a counter takedown. DeSilva drives through with a takedown into Shamrock's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. DeSilva won't allow Shamrock to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeSilva wants to pass the guard but Shamrock is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as DeSilva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shamrock wants to stand up but DeSilva is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeSilva is looking to pass into half guard but Shamrock pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Shamrock is in guard. Shamrock tries to stand but DeSilva is controlling from the bottom. DeSilva is looking for a triangle but Shamrock pushes his legs off easily.
Shamrock wanted to stand there but DeSilva had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shamrock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shamrock stands up from guard. Let's bang! DeSilva tries for a takedown but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. DeSilva has been working on his balance at HWP Forcefield, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shamrock. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeMarcus DeSilva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamrock throws a hook but DeSilva avoids it easily. DeSilva fires out a quick counter leg kick but Shamrock just manages to avoid it. A swing and a miss from Shamrock. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeSilva has closed the distance and engaged Shamrock in a clinch.

Bobby Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on DeMarcus DeSilva's cut. That's time! DeSilva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
DeSilva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shamrock moves out of range and avoids them all easily. DeSilva walks into a jab. Shamrock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from DeSilva. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shamrock! But no joy. DeSilva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shamrock wants to counter with a clinch but DeSilva pushes him away. No luck for DeSilva with that takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeSilva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shamrock sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A little jabbing left from Shamrock on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Shamrock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with DeSilva, pushing him back against the cage.

Shamrock stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. DeSilva misses with a short punch on the inside. Shamrock lands a nice uppercut. Shamrock lands a hook to the side of the head. Shamrock scores with a shoulder strike. DeSilva has a couple of punches blocked by Shamrock.

Shamrock presses DeSilva against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shamrock lands a left hand.
DeSilva is rocked! DeSilva wants to take the fight to the mat but Shamrock manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Oh DeSilva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeMarcus DeSilva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamrock lands with a right to the head. Shamrock throws a big uppercut that drops DeSilva! More strikes from Shamrock and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! DeSilva lies dazed against the cage as Shamrock celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Shamrock! Bobby Shamrock retains his welterweight title! In his post fight interview, Bobby Shamrock started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
