Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Kung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baba comes into the arena with Heart of Courage blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Baba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Kung! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kung has taken the fight to the clinch.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kung as Baba tries to tie him up. Kung is looking to take this one to the mat. Kung keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Baba's efforts to push away. Kung wants a takedown.
Kung lands a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba misses with a punch on the inside.

George Baba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Kung. Baba looking to slow down the pace here. Kung keeps control of Baba as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice right hand lands inside from Kung. Baba is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Baba tries to stall but Kung uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

We've been informed that Kung has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kung tries for a takedown but Baba manages to get underhooks.
Baba wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kung prevents Baba from breaking the clinch. Baba lands with a short head shot on the inside. Baba has had enough of the clinch but Kung keeps him there for the moment. Kung is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Baba pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kung wants to take the fight to the mat but Baba manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baba tries to break free but Kung pushes him back against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kung stalling in the clinch.
Baba takes a shot to the head. Kung tries to score a body lock takedown but Baba shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kung is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Baba pulls him back up using the underhooks. Baba breaks the clinch.
Kung shoots in for a takedown but Baba shows good takedown defense. Kung throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baba's waist but Baba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kung off to one side. Baba stuffs the takedown attempt from Kung. Kung gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kung looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Baba was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Baba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kung checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kung shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baba pinned against the cage. Baba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kung shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baba defends it nicely. Baba was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kung darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kung wants to control but Baba is keeping him busy. Baba is looking for a sweep. Kung is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Baba trying to control from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kung is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A close round but Stefan Kung will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Baba has had enough of the clinch but Kung keeps him there for the moment. Kung has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Baba avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kung gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kung not landing any meaningful shots this time. Baba slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kung trying to control the position from guard on top but Baba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kung content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kung working some strikes from top position. Baba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kung is one step ahead there. Baba can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kung controls the pace. Kung lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kung has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Baba wants to sweep but no luck. Baba is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kung is controlling him. Kung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baba swivels though and keeps the full guard. Baba looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Baba keeps the fight on the outside. Baba half committed to a counter leg kick. George Baba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baba throws a sloppy head kick and Kung moves out of range easily. Kung is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Baba with a hook. Baba avoids the body shot from Kung.
Baba is looking to counter punch. Kung tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baba swivels and escapes. Baba throws a quick counter head kick but Kung was just out of range. Kung gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kung is trying to trip Baba. He has hold of a leg but Baba is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kung persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Baba looking to control.
Kung has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kung is looking to work some ground and pound but Baba has wrist control. Kung throwing strikes but missing. Baba working a defensive guard here.

Stefan Kung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Baba misses with a hook. Kung ducked under it nicely. Kung is trying hard to land a takedown here. Baba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kung shoots in and drives through. Baba tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kung is able to avoid easily. Kung fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Baba lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kung has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kung and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kung with the counter takedown but Baba avoids it easily. Kung shoots in looking for a takedown. Baba tries to sprawl out of it but Kung keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kung fails in his attempt to clinch. Kung bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Baba's head. Kung takes a swing at Baba's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kung shoots in and bounces Baba off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kung's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kung is working Baba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kung trying to control the position from guard on top but Baba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stefan Kung has got the better of the ground game so far. Kung postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kung trying to control but Baba is working from the bottom. Baba throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kung lands a couple of digs. Kung postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kung looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Baba is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kung tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kung working for a triangle but Baba defends it easily.

George Baba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stefan Kung is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Baba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Stefan Kung. I've got Kung winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
