Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rodriguez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rodriguez slaps away a takedown attempt from Raynolds, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Rodriguez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Raynolds misses with a takedown attempt
and Rodriguez counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamie Raynolds. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Raynolds closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rodriguez did well to prevent Raynolds getting side control.
Raynolds not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rodriguez manages to get to full guard.
Rodriguez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Raynolds can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rodriguez is trying to keep Raynolds in close.
Rodriguez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raynolds gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raynolds stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Raynolds connects with a couple of short punches.
Raynolds landing some decent shots from guard.
Raynolds postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Rodriguez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Raynolds frees his head nicely. Oh but Rodriguez has switched to an armbar! Raynolds is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
