Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remo Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lloyd Budgell! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budgell shoots in but no luck this time. Taylor misses with a body kick. Taylor throws a right hand that Budgell ducks under and follows up with a left that Budgell also avoids with ease. Budgell looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taylor scores with a nice body kick.
Budgell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taylor as he jumps to the side. Remo Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lloyd Budgell. Taylor lands a head kick!
Taylor scores with a push kick. Taylor stuffs the takedown. Taylor scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Budgell is looking for a sweep. Taylor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Budgell has escaped the position, nice work there. Budgell is looking for a sweep. Budgell wants to control but Taylor postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Budgell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Budgell trying to control here.
Taylor is breathing heavily. Budgell won't allow Taylor to pass to mount. Taylor is looking to pass Budgell's guard but actually Budgell recovers to full guard. Budgell wants to sweep but no luck. Budgell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taylor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taylor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Taylor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor trying to control but Budgell is working from the bottom. Budgell has his feet on Taylor's thighs here. He's pushed Taylor off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Taylor screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
