Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Caliman Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Hunts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landon Hunts will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Caliman Matos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Landon Hunts! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunts throws a sloppy head kick and Matos moves out of range easily. Hunts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Matos fails with the takedown. Hunts throws a sloppy head kick and Matos moves out of range easily. Matos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hunts moves into the clinch. Hunts pulls guard successfully.
Hunts keeping full guard, as Matos tries to pass. Matos is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunts wants to stand up but Matos is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matos pushes down on Hunts's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hunts is trying to stand back up but Matos is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Matos wants to work for an arm triangle but Hunts is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Matos looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Matos is looking for a kimura but Hunts is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Matos to get the leverage. Matos trying to pass the guard but Hunts defending well. Hunts makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunts. Matos postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Matos passes Hunts's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Matos passes to side control. Hunts prevents Matos from improving position. Matos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hunts some visible discomfort.
Hunts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Matos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Matos looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hunts stops Matos from passing to mount. Matos has knee on belly and moves into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matos is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hunts is forced to tap! Great finish!
