Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Testo Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Testo Speed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Nove!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Speed showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nove pushes Speed off looking to stand but Speed dives back in and keeps control.
Speed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Speed is pressing down on Nove's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nove is holding on for now.
Nove wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nove trying to hold on to Speed's head to control him but Speed postures up.
Speed performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Speed is looking to take a break and control but Nove is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nove is looking to escape.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Speed closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nove did well to prevent Speed getting side control.
Speed is looking for a kimura but Nove is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Speed to get the leverage.
Nove trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Speed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Speed wants to control the pace but Nove is squirming around nicely.
Nove is looking to improve his position but Speed isn't that keen on the idea.

Speed wants to take his opponent's back but Nove doesn't allow it.
Speed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Speed punching from mount but Nove doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Speed looking to control but Nove is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Nove tries to hold on but Speed pushes him away.
Nove might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Speed haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Speed moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nove has worked his arm free - good work by Nove!

Nove is not content to let Speed control the position.
Nove takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Nove is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Speed asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Speed tries for a kimura but Nove is defending well.

Nove is trying to control Speed's posture but Speed avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Speed pivots, looking for a leg kick but Nove is out of range and Speed settles back down.
Nove dives in for a single leg takedown but Speed sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Speed fails with a takedown attempt.
Nove shoots in and drives through. Speed sprawls well.
Speed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nove can do to turn this around?
Nove tries to clinch up.
Speed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nove swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Despite the aggression on Nove's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Speed darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Speed trying to control the position from guard on top but Nove is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Testo Speed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nove not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Speed postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Speed not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Speed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Testo Speed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nove shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Speed as he jumps to the side.
Speed appears to be looking for a big counter.
Testo Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Nove.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Speed shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nove manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Speed slips nicely into half guard.
Nove won't allow Speed to pass to mount.
Speed winds up and cracks Nove with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Speed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nove is refusing to be controlled, as Speed sits in half guard.
Nove wants to improve his position but Speed is controlling well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Nove tries to clinch up but Speed circles away and keeps his distance.

Speed is taking a breather. Nove says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Speed feints and as Nove raises his hands in defense, Speed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Speed not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Speed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Nove looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Speed has picked Nove up and slammed him! Nove can't keep hold of the triangle and Speed manages to pass to side control!
Speed tries to get to his feet but Nove is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Speed in his guard.
Nove looking for a guillotine here but Speed defends easily.
Nove keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Speed wants to get up but he can't break Nove's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Nove lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Nove is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Nove is looking to stand up but Speed won't let him.

Nove trying to control the position from guard on top but Speed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Speed trying to keep a closed guard but Nove is proving a slippery customer.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nove with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Speed throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nove was covering up waiting for the punch and Speed finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Nove trying to control the position.
Nove working for a triangle but Speed defends it easily.

Nove is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nove swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Speed controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Frank Nove has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Testo Speed is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Speed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nove has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Speed has managed to get both his arms back between Nove's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight!
Testo Speed showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Speed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
