Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vern Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bavarian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vern Booker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bavarian King! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King blocks the body kick.
King moves out of range as Booker throws a body kick.
King tries to counter by closing the distance. King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Booker pinned against the cage. Booker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Booker drives through and clinches with King against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booker is pressed up against the cage. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Booker down to the mat. Booker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Booker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Booker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. King is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Booker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Booker has escaped and now he's on top! Booker sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Booker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Booker trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Booker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Booker controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Booker looking to sit in guard and control but King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. King tries to free his leg and advance position but Booker is retaining full guard. King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Booker's head. King postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. King wants to control from the top but Booker keeps moving. Booker wants to sweep but no luck. King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Booker is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Booker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. King postures up and lands a big shot to Booker's brow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! King advances to half guard. Booker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of King's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take King's back! King trying to control the hands but Booker won't let him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A slapping body kick lands there for Booker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Booker is trying to get back to full guard.

King trying to control the position from guard on top but Booker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. King throwing strikes but missing. King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Booker's head. Booker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Booker wants to sweep but no luck. Booker is working hard here to advance position. King scoring with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Booker lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Booker sitting in guard here, content to control. King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Booker trying to control but King is working from the bottom. King has his foot on Booker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Booker works his way back into a safe position though. King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Booker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King controls Booker momentarily but Booker frees himself. Booker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. King keeping moving, preventing Booker from controlling successfully. King wants to sweep here but Booker controlling him for the moment. Booker wants to stand and escape but instead King has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bavarian King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
King tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Booker defends well and King ends up having to push Booker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Booker explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. King goes for a double leg but Booker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Booker continues to drive forward. A little feinted left hand from Booker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. King shoots in but no luck this time. Vern Booker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bavarian King. No luck with that takedown attempt from King. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Booker throws a strike but King rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Booker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. King wants to control but Booker is keeping busy and won't allow it. Still in half guard, Booker seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Booker is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Booker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Booker pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King is not content to let Booker control the position. Booker tries to stand but his arm is trapped. King wants to control but Booker is keeping busy and won't allow it. Booker seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bavarian King is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. King shoots in looking for a takedown but Booker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bavarian King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. King on the wrong end of a nice jab. King ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. King wants to counter the offense by Booker and move into the clinch position. Booker misses with a looping right. King throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Booker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. King is in Booker's guard. King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Booker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Booker's legs - danger averted. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! King's corner is telling him to maintain position. Vern Booker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! King forces his way into half guard. Booker looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Vern Booker showed his dominance in that final round. I think King has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
