Ryan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belle dives in for a single leg takedown but Ryan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Belle stuffs the takedown attempt from Ryan. Ryan gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Ryan. No joy for Belle on that attempt.
Belle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Belle tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Ryan counters with a takedown into side control.
Ryan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Ryan tries for a kimura but Belle is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belle is looking for a sweep.

Belle wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryan advances to full mount.
Belle is working to get back to half guard.
Belle is working hard here to advance position.
Belle is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Ryan lands a big shot there that rocks Belle but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ryan controlling the position easily from mount.
Belle is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Belle srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
Belle takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Ryan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Belle is trying to get back to his feet but Ryan has full control of the position and if anything, Belle has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Ryan is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Belle up.
Belle is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryan has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Belle! Can he survive? No! He's out! Ryan gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
