PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Rockhard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Change the World. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockhard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hall. That did some damage!
Hall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hall wants it to stay on the feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rockhard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rockhard closes the distance and clinches up with Hall, looking for a takedown. Rockhard pushes Hall against the cage but Hall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hall attempts a counter takedown but Rockhard avoids it well and moves away.

Hall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rockhard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hall is in Rockhard's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Hall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rockhard!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
