The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tischler scores with a one two! Middleton had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Middleton slips a jab from Tischler.

Middleton stuns Tischler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Middleton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tischler.
Tischler feints a jab promting Middleton to slip. Tischler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Middleton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Middleton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tischler.
Tischler swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Middleton fires out a quick counter leg kick but Tischler just manages to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good leg kick by Tischler there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tischler tries to clinch there but Middleton circles away.
Tischler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Middleton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Middleton throws a low kick but Tischler avoids it.
Tischler changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Middleton fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Tischler scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Middleton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Middleton tries to roll over but Tischler keeps him under control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Middleton is trying to control Tischler's posture but Tischler avoids it.
Tischler is trying to get an arm triangle but Middleton is defending well.

Middleton scores with a hook to the body. Tischler takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tischler chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Middleton can pounce on him.
Tischler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tischler duly obliges.

Oh Middleton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
and Tischler counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Middleton! He's just covering up as Tischler starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
