Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Smudge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smudge comes to the cage accompanied by Ballad of The Big Boy. Jason Taylor acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daryl Smudge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Smudge shows good takedown defense.

Taylor drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smudge dives on top into guard.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smudge but Smudge pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Smudge. No joy for Taylor on that attempt.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown. Smudge tries to sprawl out of it but Taylor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smudge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Daryl Smudge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Taylor.

Taylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Smudge working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That has opened up Jason Taylor's cut even more.

You can see the frustration on Taylor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Taylor is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Smudge is staying active.
Smudge lands a nice forearm strike.


Taylor is rocked!


The cut above Jason Taylor's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jason Taylor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Daryl Smudge!
After the fight, Daryl Smudge was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
