Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Florini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cary Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Florini's entrance music is Step Up- Drowning Pool. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenny Florini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cary Thompson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Florini tries to clinch there but Thompson circles away.
Florini looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Thompson shoots in and bounces Florini off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Florini swivels though and keeps the full guard. Florini has a closed guard, preventing Thompson from standing up. Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Florini swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Thompson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thompson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Florini is keeping the position for now. Thompson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thompson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Thompson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Florini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thompson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Thompson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thompson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Thompson postures up in Florini's guard and throws a big left but Florini blocks it. Thompson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Florini swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Florini can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Thompson controls the pace. Let's hope that Thompson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Despite being in the dominant position, Cary Thompson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick by Thompson - that's a beauty! Florini is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Thompson can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
