Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emmitt Koch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke The Duke! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koch feints and as The Duke raises his hands in defense, Koch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The Duke is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koch defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koch is looking to stand up but The Duke won't let him. The Duke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Koch is controlling him. The Duke looks winded! The Duke is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koch wants to get back to full guard. Koch is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Koch trying to keep a closed guard but The Duke is proving a slippery customer.

Koch wants to get back to his feet but The Duke is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Koch holds on and takes a little breather. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. No luck for Koch with that takedown attempt. The Duke shoots for a takedown but Koch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Koch is trying hard to land a takedown here. The Duke sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The Duke throws a counter combo. Koch closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Duke circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emmitt Koch. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Duke tries to clinch but Koch is having none of it. Koch is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from The Duke. The Duke has a takedown stuffed. Koch attempts a counter takedown but The Duke avoids it well and moves away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Koch scores with a takedown into The Duke's guard. Koch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Koch shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The Duke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koch moves away. Koch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Duke defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emmitt Koch. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Duke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koch swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The Duke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Koch. Koch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Duke avoids it really well and circles away. Koch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into The Duke's guard. Koch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Koch lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Koch gets a takedown into half guard. Koch tries to stand but can't do so whilst The Duke controls his leg. The Duke is holding on to half guard well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Koch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Duke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Koch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emmitt Koch dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
The fight moves into the clinch position. The Duke tries to pull guard but Koch won't allow it.
Koch is trying to break the clinch but The Duke has him pressed against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. The Duke is trying to drag Koch to the mat but Koch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Koch jumps into guard, dragging The Duke to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koch is on top in guard.
The Duke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Koch is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koch drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Koch as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! The Duke screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Koch! Nice submission victory there!
