Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes into the arena with Denial blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fedor Slayer! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slayer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Slayer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Slayer wants to finish this one by submission but Torres is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Slayer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slayer landing shots from mount.
Kyle Torres's cut is getting worse. Torres knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slayer on the ground. Torres is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Torres wants to control but Slayer is having none of it. Torres gets back to half guard. Slayer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Slayer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Torres wants to control but Slayer is having none of it. Torres is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres bucks up and throws Slayer to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Slayer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Torres swivels and escapes. Slayer has a takedown stuffed. Torres tests Slayer's chin there with a solid looking shot. Slayer looks gassed! Slayer throws a push kick but Torres slaps the foot to one side. Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Slayer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slayer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fedor Slayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slayer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Torres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Torres pushes Slayer off looking to stand but Slayer dives back in and keeps control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slayer tries to pass to full mount but Torres defends it. Torres has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slayer is working away from the top position though. Slayer stops Torres from getting back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Slayer connects with a nice short shot to Torres's temple. Torres is trying to get back to full guard. Slayer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Torres defends it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Torres manages to escape and get back to his feet! Torres shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Torres sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Torres trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slayer flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Slayer is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Torres controlling from mount. Slayer is in all sorts of trouble here.

A close round but Fedor Slayer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kyle Torres's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Torres looks to land a combination. Slayer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A solid body kick from Torres. Torres moves in looking to clinch but Slayer pushes him off. Slayer has his takedown stuffed and Torres counters with a takedown into side control. Slayer is looking to regain half guard here but Torres keeps moving and retains side control. Torres wants to control but Slayer is keeping him busy. Torres decides to stand back up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Torres throws a series of punches but Slayer moves out of range. Slayer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Torres counters with a body kick. Kyle Torres is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Slayer fails with the takedown and Torres counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Torres. Kyle Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Slayer. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Torres is looking to work some ground and pound but Slayer has wrist control. Slayer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Slayer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Torres pushes Slayer off looking to stand but Slayer dives back in and keeps control.
Torres trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Torres trying to control but Slayer postures up.
Slayer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Torres! Slayer landing strikes from the mount. Slayer throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Slayer is landing with some decent strikes but Torres is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slayer thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Slayer looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Slayer lands a heavy elbow. Kyle Torres overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Slayer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Torres tries to hold on but Slayer postures up. Slayer lands a heavy elbow. Slayer thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Slayer looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Torres takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Slayer won't let Torres get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Slayer connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer lands a big shot there that rocks Torres but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Slayer prevents Torres from getting the reversal. Slayer working for a submission but Torres is keeping him at bay. Slayer working for a guillotine from mount but Torres is in no mood to give up. Slayer working Torres over with strikes here. Slayer scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Torres is wriggling around trying to escape.
Torres's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Slayer blocks Torres's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Slayer has control of Torres's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Torres regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Slayer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Torres has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Slayer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Torres counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slayer's guard now. Torres has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Slayer has a closed guard, preventing Torres from standing up. Torres gets to his feet. Slayer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Slayer with a lazy takedown attempt and Torres counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Torres wants to stand but Slayer has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Slayer working for a triangle but Torres defends it easily.
Torres would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Torres wants to control from the top but Slayer keeps moving. Slayer pushes a forearm under Torres's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Torres is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
