The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Travis shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Travis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson unleashes a big counter combination but Travis bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Travis on that attempt.
Travis dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Travis's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Travis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Travis.

Travis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Travis asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Johnson bucks up and tries to throw Travis off but instead Travis has got his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
