Meida lands with a right hand.
Meida tests Work's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Work on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Meida scores with a nice head shot.
Work shoots in for a takedown but Meida shows good takedown defense.
Work looks winded!
Meida lands a big right hand that sends Work crashing to the mat! Meida stays standing though and waves Work back to his feet!
Work is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Work gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Meida gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Work is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thiago Meida!
A very excited looking Thiago Meida rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
