Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brando Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Land (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brando Carlson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keith Land! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Land rushes Carlson and presses him up against the cage. Carlson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Land gets through Carlson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Land lands a nice shot to the body. Carlson is trying to pull guard but Land turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Carlson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Land smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brando Carlson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carlson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Land counters with a stiff right hand. Carlson darts in looking for a takedown but Land gets double underhooks and turns Carlson into the cage. Land will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carlson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Land is fending him off so far but Carlson persists. Nope, Land circles away and we're back to standing. Nice cross by Land. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carlson jumps guard but Land stands there with Carlson around his waist. That's one minute gone in the round. Land closes the distance and clinches. Carlson is trying to pull guard but Land has him pressed against the cage. Land lands with a right to the head. Land is trying to break the clinch but Carlson is controlling him. Carlson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Land just stands there and leans against the cage. Carlson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Land breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Keith Land is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carlson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Land is refusing to be controlled, as Carlson sits in half guard. Land actively working from the bottom here. Carlson is trying to control. Land wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Carlson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nice strikes from Carlson there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Land trying to hold on to Carlson's head to control him but Carlson postures up.

No, Land has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Land with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Land blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carlson. Land is not content to let Carlson control the position. Land is looking for a sweep. Carlson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carlson thows a huge punch but Land dodges it nicely.

Keith Land dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Carlson counters with a shoot takedown. Land fights it but they end up in guard. Carlson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Carlson trying to control but Land is working from the bottom. Carlson is looking to work some ground and pound but Land has wrist control. Carlson looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Land not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Land keeping moving, preventing Carlson from controlling successfully. Land is adopting a defensive guard. Land is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Land pulls Carlson in close to prevent any damage. Carlson advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Land's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Land tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carlson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carlson trying to control the action but Land is working from the bottom. Carlson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Land is not content to let Carlson control the position. Land is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Brando Carlson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Land taking punishment in the form of punches.

Land on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Land is looking for a sweep. Carlson lands a few punches from side control. Land is breathing heavily. Carlson looks up at the clock and then as Land takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Carlson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Carlson winds up and cracks Land with a swinging punch to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carlson slips a nice elbow through Land's hands, connecting with Land's forehead. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Land actively working from the bottom here. Carlson working over Land with some ground and pound. Brando Carlson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Land gets caught napping as Carlson dives in and scores a takedown. Land manages to retain guard. Land striking off his back but it's not causing Carlson any problems. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carlson connects with a nice short shot to Land's temple.
