Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Giannis Leve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klay Montez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Giannis Leve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Klay Montez! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leve gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Montez counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Leve has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Montez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Leve wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giannis Leve. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leve has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Montez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Montez breaks the clinch.
Leve closes the distance and clinches. Leve tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Leve prevents Montez from breaking the clinch. Leve is looking for a takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montez dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Leve tries to pull guard but Montez won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Montez managing to block the knees to the body from Leve.
Montez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Leve gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Montez pulls guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Montez is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leve has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Montez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Leve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leve shoots in but Montez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Leve slaps away a takedown attempt from Montez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leve throws a combination. Montez tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Montez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Montez looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Montez scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Leve is trying to control the position but Montez postures up. Montez throwing strikes from guard but Leve blocks nicely. Leve is breathing heavily. Montez trying to control the position from guard on top but Leve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Leve keeping moving, preventing Montez from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Leve rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Montez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Leve shoots in for a double leg but Montez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Montez clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Montez throws a body punch but Leve moves out of range. Montez throws a right and a left that both miss. Leve changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Leve gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Leve is working an open guard so Montez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Montez closes the distance and clinches. Montez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Montez clinches up with Leve and pushes him back against the cage. Leve on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Leve breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leve fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Klay Montez dominated that round. That's time! Leve's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Montez fails with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leve is defended easily by Montez. Montez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montez is keen to just control but Leve is a slippery customer. Leve pushes Montez off but Montez dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leve keeps working. Montez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Leve taking a bit of punishment here - Montez scoring with strikes. Montez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Montez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Montez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Leve struggling a bit here. Montez trying to control the action but Leve is working from the bottom. Leve tries to buck Montez off but Montez is having none of it. Montez working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montez decides to stand back up. Montez steps back and let's Leve get back to his feet. Montez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Leve shoots in for a double leg but Montez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A nice side step and Montez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Montez throws a leg kick but Leve moved away. Leve fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giannis Leve. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Montez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Leve tries to close the distance and clinch but Montez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Montez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Leve is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Montez. Sloppy strikes from Montez. Those never looked like landing. Leve was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Leve looks to land a combination but Montez avoids it well. Montez throws a sloppy head kick and Leve moves out of range easily. Montez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Klay Montez has got the better of the ground game so far. Montez has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leve is looking to escape. Montez controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montez lands a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Klay Montez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Montez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Montez showed some decent athleticism there. Montez decides to return to a standing position. Leve tries to clinch but Montez is having none of it. Leve avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Leve looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Giannis Leve is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Montez. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leve shoots in for a takedown but Montez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Montez steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Leve. Montez stuffs the takedown attempt from Leve. Leve gets slowly back to his feet. Montez throws a counter combo. Leve is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leve pushes Montez up against the cage in a clinch. Montez breaks the clinch.
Montez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leve paws at him with a jab and circles away. Montez misses with a wild body shot. Leve changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Montez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Montez. Leve tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Montez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Montez lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leve won't allow Montez to pass to mount. Leve trying to hold on to Montez's head to control him but Montez postures up.
Montez seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Leve is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Klay Montez! After winning the bout, Klay Montez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
