Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty Fulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's entrance music is Dragonforce - Operation Ground And Pound. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marty Fulton! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones takes a swing at Fulton's ribcage but misses. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fulton pinned against the cage. Fulton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Fulton shoots in. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fulton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. Jones wants to sweep here but Fulton controlling him for the moment. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fulton should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jones punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fulton's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Fulton blocking the ground and pound. Jones lands a big shot there that rocks Fulton but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Fulton is in trouble! Jones sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Jones throwing strikes here but Fulton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fulton is surviving well by controlling Jones's body position as best he can. Jones is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fulton can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fulton is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Fulton looks gassed! Jones throwing strikes here but Fulton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
A nice elbow there by Jones. Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fulton's face.
Jones working for a guillotine from mount but Fulton is in no mood to give up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones scoring with strikes but Fulton is staying in there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fulton taking shots to the head. Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Fulton in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fulton has eaten all the pies! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice elbow there by Jones. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fulton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fulton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fulton can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fulton wants to get back to his feet. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fulton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones winds up and cracks Fulton with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jones lands strikes from half guard. Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fulton!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones lands with some strikes. Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Jones scoring with strikes but Fulton is staying in there. Fulton taking shots to the head. Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fulton hang on?
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Jones. Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fulton looks a forlorn figure.
Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes. Fulton is trying to stand up. Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fulton's face.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Jones dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Fulton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fulton keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fulton but Fulton pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fulton is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Fulton circles away and we're back to standing. Fulton scores a takedown into full mount! Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Fulton turns him over and now has his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fulton has the hooks in. Jones is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Jones trying to control the position but Fulton manages to sink in the hooks. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones breaks Fulton's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fulton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fulton is keeping the position for now. Fulton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jones manages to pass to side control. Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Fulton is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots. Jones drops an elbow to the side of Fulton's head. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fulton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fulton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones passes to side control. Fulton takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Fulton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Fulton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones misses with the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
