Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronnie Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Moura! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moura closes the distance and pushes Ball back into the cage. Ball looking to stall.
Moura pulls guard. Moura trying to keep a closed guard but Ball is proving a slippery customer.
Moura wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Moura is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moura working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ball doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Moura is tightening it up a little... Ball has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ball reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ball taps out! Nice BJJ there by Moura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Daniel Moura!
