Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Crawley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamlet Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crawley comes into the arena with Barbarian Overlords - The Ambassador blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Crawley! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hamlet Bone! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crawley manages to avoid it. Bone looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Crawley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bone is looking to work some ground and pound but Crawley has wrist control. Bone throws a strike but Crawley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Crawley being controlled here momentarily. Crawley postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crawley trying to control but Bone is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone seems keen to control Crawley's posture. Crawley has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Crawley controlling from the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bone jabs Crawley to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bone moves to clinch but Crawley breaks away enabling Crawley to counter with a crisp jab. Crawley scores with a jab to the jaw. A big left from Crawley misses. Crawley throws a series of punches but Bone moves out of range. Bone closes the distance and lands a one-two. Crawley throws a body punch but Bone moves out of range. Crawley cracks Bone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bone connects with a body shot. Crawley just misses with a punch to the body.
Bone throws a hook to the side of Crawley's head but Crawley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The fighters circling - Crawley throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Charles Crawley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crawley lunges at Bone with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bone's hand. Crawley cracks Bone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crawley misses the shot to the body. Bone lands a jab to Crawley's midsection. Bone scores with a sloppy right hand. Crawley should have avoided that one. Bone doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crawley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bone cracks a nice hook into Crawley's ribs. Nice defenses there by Crawley. Bone dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Crawley throws an overhand right that lands on Bone's shoulder, as Bone tries to avoid the shot. Bone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crawley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crawley is looking for a counter combo. Crawley misses with a wild body shot. Bone with the counter takedown but Crawley avoids it easily. Bone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Crawley is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crawley takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bone misses with a jab to the body
and Crawley counters with a stiff right hand. Crawley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bone manages to avoid it. Hamlet Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Crawley. Bone throws the left hand but Crawley avoids the punch easily. It looked like Crawley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bone gets the takedown into side control. Bone fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bone working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Crawley managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bone.
Bone works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hamlet Bone will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A big right from Crawley misses. Bone throws a combination that misses and Crawley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Crawley thows a left - swing and a miss! Bone cracks Crawley with a right hand to the side of the head. Bone takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Crawley sizes up Bone with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Bone thows a left - swing and a miss! It looked like Crawley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bone takes a body punch but keeps moving. A looping hook to the body misses from Crawley. Bone does a little dance to reset his feet. Crawley lands a head shot. Bone throws a looping overhand right but Crawley ducks down to avoid it. Bone lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Crawley at a distance.

and Crawley counters with a nice body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bone lands in his opponent's guard. Bone postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawley looking for a sweep. Not yet Crawley, not yet. Bone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crawley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crawley seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Bone with a flurry of punches that miss. Bone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bone misses with a body shot.
Charles Crawley is winning the standup battle so far. Crawley pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bone cracks Crawley with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Crawley's head backwards. Crawley scores with a jab. Bone acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Bone looks to clinch enabling Crawley to counter with a crisp jab. Bone lands the left hand. Crawley lands with a straight right. Bone didn't see that one coming. Bone fails with a takedown attempt. Bone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crawley takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Bone walks into a stiff left hand from Crawley. Crawley staying out of range there. Bone slips under a jab. Crawley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A quick step to the side and Crawley tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bone misses with a right hand and Crawley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bone misses with a looping right. Crawley throwing a counter right hand but Bone manages to avoid it. Bone just misses with a punch to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Bone misses the target. Crawley listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bone slips under a jab from Crawley. Bone has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Crawley tries to keep at a distance but Bone has taken the fight into the clinch. Crawley breaks the clinch.

Bone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Crawley jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bone tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bone is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crawley rather than just go for the knockout. Crawley loads up on a big right hand but Bone slips the punch. Crawley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bone can do to turn this around? Crawley misses with a hook. Bone has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Bone is rocked! Crawley cracks Bone with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bone is still on wobbly legs! Can Crawley finish him? Crawley drops Bone with a straight right hand, right on the button! Crawley follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Crawley! Charles Crawley retains his light heavyweight title! A very excited looking Charles Crawley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
