Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Soor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ocean rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rowe has chosen tokyo drift as his entrance music. ocean rowe acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Soor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, ocean rowe!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Soor is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
rowe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

rowe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Soor drops back looking for a leg! rowe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and rowe manages to kick Soor off! Soor jumps back into rowe's guard.
rowe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Soor passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Soor is looking to take a break and control but rowe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Soor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
rowe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Soor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Soor tries for a kimura but rowe is defending well.

Soor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Soor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Soor is breathing heavily.
rowe is looking for a sweep.
rowe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Soor moves into full mount!

Soor with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

rowe is working to get back to half guard.
rowe regains half guard.
rowe is staying active underneath Soor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Soor could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
rowe is trying to get back to full guard.

rowe actively working from the bottom here.
rowe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Soor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Soor's back!
Soor is trying to break free.

Soor can't escape the position.

rowe looking to break Soor's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Soor remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise rowe will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Soor breaks rowe's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
rowe keeping moving, preventing Soor from controlling successfully.

rowe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

rowe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

rowe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Soor uses it to pass to side control.
rowe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
rowe tries to bench press Soor off him but Soor keeps the position.

Soor has hold of rowe's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! rowe tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Soor cranks the arm and rowe screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from rowe, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Fred Soor!
