Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slight Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mr Sandman. Texas Pete has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Texas Pete! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Slight Carter! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pete counters with a thumping low kick. Pete ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pete swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.
Pete throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot. Carter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pete manages to avoid it. Pete misses with a body shot.
Pete's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pete scrambles back to his feet. Carter misses with a hook. Pete appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Pete misses with a body shot.
Slight Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter connects with a crisp jab. Carter catches Pete with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Pete seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Carter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pete throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Carter misses with a looping left. Carter defending well as Pete loads up on a big left hand. Carter throws a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Pete walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Pete bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pete defending well as Carter loads up on a big left hand. A combination from Carter does no damage. Carter misses with a double jab
and Pete counters with a right hand to the body. Carter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pete on the side of the head. Pete connects with a body shot that sends Carter's belly button to the back. Pete pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pete buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carter jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pete. Pete connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carter throws a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pete buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pete throws a hook but Carter blocks it. A swing and a miss from Pete. Pete fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Pete ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away. Pete takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses. Pete swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.
Carter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pete catches Carter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A clash of legs there as Carter blocks the low kick. Carter cracks Pete with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Carter throws a right and a left that Pete avoids nicely. A bone on bone clash there as Carter blocks the leg kick.
Pete fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carter on the side of the head. Carter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pete throws out the jab. Pete is looking to wear down Carter with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range. Carter misses with a shot to the body and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Carter lands with an overhand left. Carter jabs at Pete's body. The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A little feinted left hand from Pete on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Pete cracks Carter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Pete staying out of range there. Carter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Carter swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Pete counter with a right hand.
Carter is rocked! Carter throws an off balance right hand
and Pete counters with a body kick. Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Pete finish him? Carter looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pete lands a right hand from hell, dropping Carter. Pete pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Texas Pete! Texas Pete retains his light heavyweight title! An out of breath Texas Pete thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
