Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vern Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Way (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vern Booker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sub Way! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Booker misses with a hook. Way closes this distance looking for a takedown but Booker circles away. Booker jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Booker leaves Way with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sub Way seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Way shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Booker manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Booker looking for a sweep. Not yet Booker, not yet. Way stands up over Booker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Booker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Booker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Way's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Way throwing strikes from guard but Booker blocks nicely. Way throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Way loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Booker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Way scoring with some ground and pound. Way wants to control from the top but Booker keeps moving. Way stopping the sweep attempt from Booker. Way must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Booker can't keep his opponent in guard - Way advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Way tries to pass the half guard into mount. Booker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

He's now in the guard on the top. Booker is working Way over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Way working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Way dives in for a single leg takedown but Booker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Vern Booker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Way. Booker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Way is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Booker's half guard. Booker on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Booker is looking for a sweep. Way is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Booker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Booker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Booker wants it to stay on the feet. Way shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Booker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Booker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Booker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Booker keeping moving, preventing Way from controlling successfully. Booker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Way manages to get himself to full guard.

Booker is controlling Way's position as best he can from this difficult position. Way working over Booker with some ground and pound. Booker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Booker looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Booker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Way is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Sub Way showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Way walks forward, straight into a front kick from Booker. Way tries for a takedown but Booker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sub Way is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Way shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Booker moves into the clinch. Way drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Way takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Way has a couple of punches blocked by Booker.
Booker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Way breaks the clinch.

Way tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Booker defends well and Way ends up having to push Booker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Booker with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Booker throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Booker throws a front kick that sends Way stumbling back into the cage. Booker moves into the clinch successfully.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Booker manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Way tries to pull guard but Booker won't allow it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Booker scores with a hook to the body. Booker pulls guard successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Way is in close to Booker's body, working some short punches and elbows. Booker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Way working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Booker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Way missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Booker throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Way seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Booker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Way tries for a takedown but Booker circles away easily and Booker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Way moves forwards but Booker connects with a nice, crisp jab. Way shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Booker counter with a right hand. Booker drives through and clinches with Way against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Vern Booker showed his dominance in that final round. I think Way has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
