Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bavarian King!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bartlett closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. King quickly recovers to half guard.
Bartlett not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bartlett looks to land a strike but King avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Bartlett is looking to stand up but King won't let him.
Bartlett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

King drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bartlett manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now King has Bartlett in his guard.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bartlett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Bartlett's legs - danger averted.
Bartlett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.

Bartlett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bartlett is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because King is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

King is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bartlett is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bartlett has escaped and now he's on top!

Bartlett has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of King is proving hard to escape from.

Bartlett thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bartlett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bartlett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bartlett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.

Bartlett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

King wants to control from the top but Bartlett keeps moving.
King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bartlett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bartlett has control of King's left arm, preventing King from doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bartlett drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
King gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bavarian King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bartlett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bartlett wants to stand but King has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tommy Bartlett.
Well Bartlett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
