Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Faaloua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Toby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as James Toby enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Faaloua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, James Toby! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faaloua gets in close and instigates a clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Faaloua - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Toby's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Faaloua lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Toby wants to take the fight to the mat but Faaloua manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Toby tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Faaloua just stands there and leans against the cage. Toby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Faaloua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Faaloua misses with a head kick.
Faaloua moves into the clinch. Faaloua creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toby letting Faaloua take a breather here. Toby blocks an elbow strike from Faaloua.
Toby tries to land knees in the clinch but Faaloua avoids the damage to the body. Faaloua misses with an elbow over the top. Faaloua is struggling to control the position. Faaloua lands an elbow just above Toby 's eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toby lands a right hand. Faaloua throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Faaloua lands a nice elbow. Toby wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Faaloua has him pressed against the cage. Toby jumps guard and drags Faaloua to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Toby is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Faaloua has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Faaloua controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Toby is pulling down on Faaloua's head. It's preventing any offense from Faaloua, at least for the moment. Faaloua slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Faaloua preventing the sweep.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Faaloua tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

James Faaloua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Faaloua. Toby tries to land a leg kick but Faaloua saw it coming and moves away.

Faaloua tries to close the distance and clinch but Toby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Faaloua throws a sloppy head kick and Toby moves out of range easily. Toby misses with a body kick. Faaloua looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Toby looks for the body kick but Faaloua saw that one coming. Toby misses with an attempted mid kick.
Toby takes a kick to the side of the head. Toby feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Faaloua's calf. Toby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Faaloua moves in looking to clinch but Toby pushes him off. Toby only half commits to the counter leg kick. Faaloua clinches up against the cage. Toby is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Faaloua is defending well. James Faaloua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Toby.

Faaloua is looking to control Toby's arms but Toby gets an underhook and turns him. Now Faaloua has his back to the cage. Toby breaks the clinch.
Faaloua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A big left from Toby misses. Toby misses with a leg kick and Faaloua makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Toby really felt that one! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Faaloua is looking to clinch but Toby is avoiding it.

Faaloua throws a sloppy head kick and Toby moves out of range easily. Toby tries to land a front kick but Faaloua steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Faaloua tries to clinch but Toby moves out of range. Faaloua throws a head kick that misses. Toby fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Faaloua checks it well. Faaloua appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Toby lands a leg kick that knocks Faaloua off balance momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Faaloua dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Faaloua tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Toby throws a fast counter high kick but Faaloua manages to duck under it in time. Toby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Faaloua jabbing away but nothing is landing. Toby now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Faaloua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toby.
Faaloua wants to clinch but Toby slips to the side The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Toby counters with a good low kick that Faaloua was not able to check. Toby throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Toby scores with a spinning back kick! Faaloua takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Faaloua throws a lazy body kick and Toby counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Faaloua wants to clinch. Faaloua takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Toby is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Faaloua is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Toby as Faaloua tries to tie him up.

Toby is looking to stand back up but Faaloua counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Toby. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toby moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Toby holds on and takes a little breather.

Faaloua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Toby looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Faaloua throws a head kick that misses. Toby steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Toby throws a head kick that misses. Faaloua tries to clinch up but Toby circles away and keeps his distance. Faaloua delivers a nice body kick. Toby scores with a nice body kick.

Faaloua moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromToby. Toby throws a half hearted mid kick. Faaloua thinks about countering with a head kick. Faaloua throws a sloppy head kick and Toby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Toby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Well, if Faaloua is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Toby keeping hold of Faaloua's head, controlling as best he can. Toby wants to control but Faaloua is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Toby gets back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Faaloua. I think Faaloua has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
