Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crack Pip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Crack Pip has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crack Pip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Blade Kongo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo slips a jab and a cross from Pip.
Pip misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kongo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pip.
Pip will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pip could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A punch combination from Pip misses.
Kongo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pip tries to clinch there but Kongo circles away.

Kongo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

I looks like Kongo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Let's hope that Kongo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Blade Kongo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kongo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kongo happy to just control the position for now.

Pip is not content to let Kongo control the position.
Pip might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kongo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Pip keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kongo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kongo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pip tries to score with a low kick but Kongo moves his leg out of the way.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kongo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pip looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pip is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Kongo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Blade Kongo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kongo wants to control from the top but Pip keeps moving.
Pip wants to sweep but no luck.

Kongo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Pip wants to get back to his feet but Kongo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kongo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
