The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riordan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riordan is working away from the top position though.

Silva is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Riordan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Riordan has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riordan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Riordan cracks Silva with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
