Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Work (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bradley Work acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sheldon Cherry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bradley Work! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Work displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cherry. Work shoots for a double leg takedown but Cherry sprawls well. He's pushed Work's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cherry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Work as he jumps to the side. Work swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bradley Work seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Work takes the fight into the clinch. Work goes for a takedown attempt but Cherry pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Work is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cherry sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sheldon Cherry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradley Work. Work throws a series of punches but Cherry moves out of range.

Work has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cherry is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Work wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cherry has him pressed against the cage. That's two minutes gone in the round. Work jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cherry walks away with a smile on his face. Work gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Work shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cherry as he jumps to the side. Cherry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Work. A head kick misses from Cherry. Cherry fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Work checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Work shoots in and drives through. Cherry sprawls well. Cherry tries to counter with a takedown but Work is quick to defend against it. Work tries to clinch but Cherry moves out of range. Cherry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cherry thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Work looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cherry passes into side control.
Work sneaks back into half guard. Cherry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Work is trying to stand.
Cherry stands up from half guard. Work moves into the clinch. Cherry gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cherry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Work is looking to clinch. Cherry displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Work. Work tries for a takedown but Cherry sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Work fails with the takedown. Sheldon Cherry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradley Work. Work with a poor takedown and Cherry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cherry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cherry misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Work's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cherry just leaning against Work, taking a breather.

Work gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cherry shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sheldon Cherry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Work tries to clinch there but Cherry circles away.
Cherry appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Work fails with the takedown so Cherry counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Work is breathing heavily. Work wants to get back to his feet but Cherry is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Work is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cherry throwing strikes but missing. Cherry is working Work over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Work manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Work darts in and clinches Cherry up against the cage. Cherry tries to break free but Work pushes him back against the cage. Work is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Work is trying to push Cherry away but Cherry has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Work tries to pull guard but Cherry forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Cherry is pushing Work up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Work is trying to pull guard but Cherry has him pressed against the cage. Work tries to score a body lock takedown but Cherry shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Work tries to pull guard but Cherry won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cherry trying to land knees to the body.

Is there anything that Work can do to turn this around? Work slowing the pace effectively. Work lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Work is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cherry gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Work can't find room to land a body shot as Cherry controls the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Work's face as he tries to break the clinch. Work pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Work misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Work shoots in looking for a takedown. Cherry tries to sprawl out of it but Work keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cherry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sheldon Cherry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bradley Work. Work takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Work closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cherry circles away. Cherry shoots in but no luck this time. Work tries to clinch up. Work tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cherry swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Work tries to clinch up but Cherry circles away and keeps his distance. Work clinches. Work is trying to maintain a safe position but Cherry gets an underhook and turns Work into the cage. Cherry is trying to break the clinch but Work has him pressed against the cage. Work is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Work tries to stall but Cherry uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cherry stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Work prevents Cherry from breaking the clinch. Work is looking to take this one to the mat. Cherry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Sheldon Cherry showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cherry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
