PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Onkel Bergmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Te Huna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bergmann comes to the cage accompanied by Never Give Up. The crowd seem to be enjoying Te Huna's choice of entrance music: Chevelle-Jars. James Te Huna will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Onkel Bergmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Te Huna!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergmann throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bergmann lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Te Huna has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Te Huna and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Te Huna stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Te Huna wants it to stay on the feet.

Bergmann is keen to just control but Te Huna is a slippery customer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Te Huna enables Bergmann to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Te Huna manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Te Huna lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Onkel Bergmann has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
