Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz has chosen Cisco Kid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lorenzo Ortiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clayton clinches up with Ortiz and pushes him back against the cage.
Clayton is trying to pull guard but Ortiz has him pressed against the cage.

Ortiz tries to throw a body punch but Clayton avoids it by throwing Ortiz back against the cage.

Ortiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ortiz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Clayton will feel that in the morning.
Ortiz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice uppercut lands for Ortiz. That snapped Clayton's head back.

Clayton swings wildly with an uppercut but Ortiz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Clayton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Clayton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Clayton pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ortiz works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ortiz has a couple of punches blocked by Clayton.

Clayton tries to land knees in the clinch but Ortiz avoids the damage to the body.
Ortiz decides to pull guard.
Clayton throws a strike but Ortiz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clayton seems keen to control Ortiz's posture.
Ortiz throws a big right hand that misses.
Clayton has his foot on Ortiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ortiz works his way back into a safe position though.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ortiz working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Ortiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ortiz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Clayton because Ortiz loaded up on that one.

Lorenzo Ortiz really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
