23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boris Gregorovitsj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Jamison! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jamison shoots in and drives through. Gregorovitsj sprawls well. Gregorovitsj is looking for a counter combo. Gregorovitsj takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Gregorovitsj fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jamison looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gregorovitsj scores with a head kick.
It looks like John Jamison has been cut. Gregorovitsj lands with a straight right. Jamison didn't see that one coming. A looping hook to the body misses from Jamison. Gregorovitsj does a little dance to reset his feet. Jamison tries to clinch but Gregorovitsj is having none of it. Jamison lands with a shot to the body. Jamison tries for a takedown but Gregorovitsj sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gregorovitsj tries to counter by clinching up but Jamison breaks away and moves out of range. Gregorovitsj throws a half hearted mid kick. Gregorovitsj takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A cross from Gregorovitsj lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jamison avoids a kick to the body.
Jamison misses with a looping left. An attempted straight right counter from Gregorovitsj misses the target. Gregorovitsj takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Jamison shoots in looking for a takedown but Gregorovitsj manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jamison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Boris Gregorovitsj has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jamison. Jamison tries to clinch up. Gregorovitsj attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Jamison rushes Gregorovitsj and presses him up against the cage. Gregorovitsj lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gregorovitsj goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jamison goes for a double leg but Gregorovitsj avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gregorovitsj continues to drive forward. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jamison is defended easily by Gregorovitsj. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gregorovitsj keeps the fight on the outside. The fighters circle momentarily. Jamison darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jamison is looking to land body kicks. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jamison. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gregorovitsj stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jamison shoots and misses and Gregorovitsj moves into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gregorovitsj takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Gregorovitsj doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Gregorovitsj tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jamison is able to avoid easily. Jamison bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Jamison looks to clinch and Gregorovitsj counters with a straight right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jamison wants to clinch. A quick step to the side and Gregorovitsj tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Jamison is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gregorovitsj rather than just go for the knockout. Jamison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jamison wants to clinch. Gregorovitsj wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
