PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Primados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kareem Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kareem Montana was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Primados has managed to clinch.

Primados decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montana wants to stand and escape but instead Primados has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Primados is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Montana really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Primados. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Primados is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Montana defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Montana.

Primados decides to stand up, so the ref orders Montana to his feet.
Montana connects with a good right hand that stumbles Primados. Primados circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Montana fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Primados manages to avoid it.

Primados closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Montana did well to prevent Primados getting side control.
Primados looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Montana with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Primados here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Montana pounces like a tiger and cracks Primados with a vicious hook! Primados is down but not out! Montana follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

In his post fight interview, Kareem Montana started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
