Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Gatmaitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcu Halol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcu Halol struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Marcu Halol has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jose Gatmaitan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jose Gatmaitan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcu Halol! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatmaitan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Halol misses with a straight left. Gatmaitan drops Halol with a beautiful combination! Halol stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gatmaitan is looking for the KO!
It looks like Marcu Halol has been cut. Gatmaitan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Halol. Gatmaitan throws a push kick but Halol slaps the foot to one side. Halol is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Halol thows a left - swing and a miss! Gatmaitan ducks under a wild hook from Halol. Jose Gatmaitan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gatmaitan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Halol fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gatmaitan on the side of the head. Gatmaitan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gatmaitan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
It seemed like Halol was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Gatmaitan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Halol checks it well. Gatmaitan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Halol tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gatmaitan throws a hook but Halol avoids it easily. Halol misses with an uppercut. Halol throws an overhand right that lands on Gatmaitan's shoulder, as Gatmaitan tries to avoid the shot. Gatmaitan moves into range and clinches up with Halol. Gatmaitan with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Gatmaitan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Halol wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Halol is trying to break free. Gatmaitan misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halol blocks an elbow strike. Halol breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gatmaitan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Halol misses with a looping left. and Halol counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Gatmaitan! He's just covering up as Halol starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcu Halol!
