Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Coryatt!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coryatt scores with a body shot.
Coryatt throws a series of punches but Stephens moves out of range.
Stephens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Coryatt.
Stephens looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Coryatt gets the takedown into side control.

Coryatt stands up and beckons Stephens to his feet.

Coryatt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stephens's guard.
Coryatt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Stephens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Stephens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Coryatt told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coryatt looking to sit in guard and control but Stephens gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stephens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Coryatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stephens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Coryatt is tightening it up a little... Stephens has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Stephens reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Stephens taps out! Nice BJJ there by Coryatt!

After the fight, Kevin Coryatt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
