Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scooter Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Evil Ways!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ways gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Davidson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Davidson with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davidson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Davidson misses with an attempted mid kick.

Davidson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ways's guard.
Davidson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ways is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Davidson is really struggling to control Ways but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davidson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ways is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Davidson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Davidson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ways is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ways ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ways no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ways managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Davidson.

Ways tries to pull guard but Davidson holds him up against the cage and eventually Ways drops back down to his feet.

Davidson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davidson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ways to the mat! Ways manages to get full guard.
Ways wants to stand and escape but Davidson is having none of it.
Ways looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davidson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ways is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ways lands a nice leg kick that just misses Davidson's sensitive parts.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scooter Davidson.
I think Davidson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
